Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come is the call of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York for people to pray ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ from Ascension Day to Pentecost, particularly praying for people to know the love of God – to know Jesus.

Thy Kingdom Come is a global wave of prayer calling all Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.  In 2020 this was an opportunity to pray together between 21 and 31 May.

We believe prayer makes a real difference and this year we asked people to:

  • Light up Suffolk in prayer by lighting a candle in your window.
  • Pray together seeking out simple acts of prayer for morning, noon and evening every day.
  • Join our 24 hour 7 day prayer marathon

We would like to thank everyone who participated in Thy Kingdom Come 2020. We are thankful to God for everything that happened.  During Thy Kingdom Come every hour of prayer was filled – many times over.  With strong participation from different denominations and streams across the county, thousands of views of the Pentecost services, stories of answered prayer, people discovering faith, a desire to listen to God and share vision for our county across denominations.
