The Bishops' Office has recently announced the following appointments and retirements:

The Reverend Paul Tams retires from his post as House for Duty Rector, Benefice of Santon, Downham with Elveden and Lakenheath, Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. With effect from 1 May 2023.
The Reverend Stephne Van Der Toorn retires from her post as Rector, East Bergholt and Brantham Benefice, Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. With effect from 1 May 2023.
The Revd Manette Crossman is now Rector of the Benefice of Higham, Holton St Mary, Raydon and Stratford St Mary. This title change is due to the benefice suspension being lifted.
The Revd Eleanor Goodison has been appointed as the Assistant Rural Dean of the Hartismere and Hoxne Deanery; this appointment takes effect from 31 January 2023. This is in addition to Eleanor’s current role as Priest in Charge of the benefice of Athelington, Denham, Horham, Hoxne, Redlingfield, Syleham and Wingfeld.
The Revd Eric Falla is now Rector of the Benefice of Bramford with Little Blakenham, Baylham and Nettlestead. This title change is due to the benefice suspension being lifted.
The Revd Christopher Norburn has resigned from his post as Assistant Rural Dean of the Hartismere and Hoxne Deanery with immediate effect. Chris continues in his post as Rector of the benefice of Redgrave cum Botesdale with Rickinghall.
The Revd Alan Comfort, Vicar of St John the Evangelist, Upper Holloway in the Diocese of London, is moving to Vicar, Rushmere St Andrew. Licensing will be on 17 April at 7.30pm by Bishop Mike.
The Revd Sarah Jenkins is now Assistant Rural Dean of the Gipping Valley Deanery, this is in addition to her current role as Rector of the Combs and Finborough Benefice. This appointment took effect from 4 January 2023.
The Revd Daniel Harrison is now Rural Dean of the Gipping Valley Deanery, this is in addition to his current role as Rector of the South Bosmere Benefice. This appointment took effect from 4 January 2023.
The Ven Annette Cooper retired from her post as Rural Dean of Woodbridge on 30 November 2022, she continues to have Permission to Officiate across the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich and remains Archdeacon Emeritus of Colchester in the Chelmsford Diocese.
The Revd Mary Elise Styles, Rector of South Quantock benefice in Diocese of Bath and Well, is moving to Rector in Glem Valley United benefice. Licensing will be on 24 April at 7.30pm by Bishop Mike.
