The Revd Philip Miller, Rector: Hundred River and Wainford Benefice moves to Vicar, St Peter’s Bromyard and St Peter & St Paul, Stoke Lacy in the Diocese of Hereford.  Date of last service is Sunday19 February 2023.

The Revd Alison Kirstine Ruth Alder: Assistant Curate (SSM): Blyth Valley Team Benefice moves to Assistant Curate (SSM) to be known as Associate Priest: Blyth Valley Team Benefice.  Licensing by The Ven Jeanette Gosney Archdeacon of Suffolk on 26 March 2023.

The Revd Linda Pepper, Assistant Curate: St Matthew with Triangle and All Saints moves to her new post of Assistant Curate: Walton and Trimley and will be licensed by Bishop Mike on 2 January 2023.

The Revd Jenny Seggar is now Acting Rural Dean of the Samford Deanery, this is in addition to her current role as Rector of the Two Rivers Benefice. This appointment took effect from 29 November 2022.

The Revd Sarah Jane Geileskey, Assistant Curate: St Edmundsbury Cathedral moves to her new post of Priest in Charge: St Margaret’s, Ipswich and will be licensed by Bishop Martin on 26 April 2023.

The Ven Jeanette Margaret Gosney retires from her post as The Archdeacon of Suffolk. To retire with effect from 25 April 2023

The Revd Andrew Doarks, in addition to his current role as Rector of Sudbury St Gregory with St Peter and Chilton Benefice, will be Acting Assistant Rural Dean of Sudbury Deanery.

The Revd Enid Pow moves to her new post as: Priest in Charge, Four Rivers Benefice.

The Revd Patricia Jane Box moves to her new position as Assistant Curate (to be known as Associate Priest) of Bures with Assington and Little Cornard.

The Revd Mike Birt, 0.5 Priest in Charge, Monks Eleigh with Chelsworth & Brent Eleigh with Milden and Kettlebaston is now 0.5 Rector of the benefice of Monks Eleigh with Chelsworth & Brent Eleigh with Milden and Kettlebaston. This title change is due to the lifting of the benefice suspension.

The Revd Canon Susan Loxton will continue as Rural Dean of the Hartismere and Hoxne Deanery until 30 September 2023, this is in addition to her current role as Rector of the Sancroft Benefice.

The Revd Sheila Elizabeth Hart has been appointed as the Assistant Rural Dean of Saxmundham Deanery, until 31 August 2023.

The Revd James Duncan Marston moves from his post as Assistant Curate : Alde Sandlings Benefice, to his new post as Associate Priest in the Barnes Team serving the parishes of St Mary and St Michael & All Angels, Diocese of Southwark.

The Revd Leon John Collyer is now House for Duty Rector of the Benefice of The Saints. This title change is due to the benefice suspension having lapsed.

The Revd Canon Herbert Fadriquela has been appointed as Port Chaplain to Felixstowe and Haven Ports.

The Revd Susan Margaret Allison moves from her post as Assistant Curate: Newmarket All Saints Benefice, to her new post as Priest in Charge of the Waterfront Benefice, Ipswich.

The Revd Oliver Kemsley has relinquished his post as Assistant Curate, The Benefice of Alde River. Oliver’s last day with the diocese was 8 May 2022.

The Revd Dr Simon Hill has been appointed as the Clergy Retirement Officer for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

The Revd Tom Mumford, in addition to his current role as Priest in Charge of St Mary le Tower, Ipswich, will be Assistant Area Dean of Ipswich Deanery.

The Revd Rachel Revely, in addition to her current role as Priest in Charge of St Thomas, Ipswich, will be Assistant Area Dean of Ipswich Deanery.

The Revd Alan Forsdike, in addition to his current role as Chaplain to Ipswich Deanery and the Diocesan Office, will be Assistant Area Dean of Ipswich Deanery.

The Revd Charlotte Cook, in addition to her current role as Priest in Charge of Westerfield and Tuddenham St Martin with Witnesham benefice, will be Area Dean of Ipswich Deanery. Charlotte will replace The Revd Canon Nick Atkins whose term as Area Dean is coming to an end.

The Revd Laura Mumford moves from her post as Assistant Curate, Bury St Edmunds: St Mary with St Peter, to her new post as School Chaplain at The Royal Hospital School, Holbrook.

The Revd Peter Goodridge, in addition to his current role as Rector of Elmswell Benefice, will be Assistant Rural Dean of Lavenham Deanery.

The Revd Simon White, in addition to his current role as Associate Priest of Bures with Assington and Little Cornard Benefice, will be Acting Rural Dean of Sudbury Deanery.

The Revd Andy Miller, in addition to his current role as Team Rector of the Lark Valley and North Bury Benefice, will be Rural Dean of Thingoe Deanery.

The Revd Canon Sharon Potter, in addition to her current role as Rector of Bradfield St Clare, Bradfield St George with Little Whelnetham, Cockfield, Felsham and Gedding Benefice, will be Rural Dean of Lavenham Deanery.

The Revd Robin Spittle retires from his post as Rector: Kesgrave with Little Bealings and Playford, Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. To retire with effect from 13 November 2022.

The Revd Canon Mark Newby Haworth moves from his post as Interim Priest in Charge : Claydon Benefice and Diocesan Environment Adviser, Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, to his new post as Interim Priest in Charge: The parishes of Haddenham, Wilburton, Witchford with Wentworth; Sutton, Witcham with Mepal; Coveney and the parishes of Downham, Little Thetford and Stretham, Diocese of Ely.

The Revd Simon Jackson Crompton-Battersby moves from his post as Priest in Charge : Elmsett with Aldham, Hintlesham, Chattisham and Kersey, to his new post as Team Vicar: Thurstable and Winstree Team Ministry, Diocese of Chelmsford.

The Revd Emily Rose May Swinerd moves from her post as Curate in Charge of the Benefice of Highworth with Sevenhampton and Inglesham, Hannington and the Benefice of Broad Blunsdon, Diocese of Bristol, to her new post as Priest in Charge of St Peter’s, Stoke Park, Ipswich.

The Revd Captain Simon C E Cake CA moves to his new post as Mission Focussed Team Vicar: Wilford Benefice.

The Revd Susan Foster has submitted resignation for her post as Vicar, of The Benefice of Rushmere St Andrew. Date announced in church: 3 April 2022. Date of last service: 3 July 2022.

The Revd Lynda Anne Sebbage, Priest in Charge, The Benefice of Barrow is now Rector of the benefice of The Benefice of Barrow. This title change is due to the lifting of the benefice suspension.

The Revd Herbert Michael Mike Birt, 0.5 Priest in Charge, Monks Eleigh with Chelsworth & Brent Eleigh with Milden and Kettlebaston is now 0.5 Rector of the benefice of Monks Eleigh with Chelsworth & Brent Eleigh with Milden and Kettlebaston. The Revd John Michael Loftus has submitted resignation for his post as House for Duty Rector of the benefice of Wrentham, Covehithe with Benacre, Henstead with Hulver and Frostendon. His last date of service will be 30th September 2022.

The Revd Daniel Raymond Whiffin moves to his new post as Vicar, Bures with Assington and Little Cornard.

The Revd Katrina Dykes, in addition to her current roles as Rector, Carlford benefice, will be Assistant Rural Dean, Woodbridge Deanery. This took effect on 5 April 2022.

The Revd Sarah Jean Jenkins, in addition to her current roles as Rector, Combs and Finborough, will be Acting Assistant Rural Dean, Gipping Valley Deanery. This took effect on 1 May 2022.

The Revd Daniel Harrison, in addition to his current roles as Rector, South Bosmere, will be Acting Rural Dean, Gipping Valley Deanery. This will take effect on 1 May 2022.

The Revd Edward Charles Land moves to his new post as Associate Minister of the Lightwave Rural Hub, Bungay..

The Revd Gary John Best moves to his new post as Priest in Charge, Mid Loes.

The Revd Clive Anthony Fairclough moves to his new post as Rector, Benefice of Suffolk Heights.

The Revd Virginia Gini Grace Williams moves to her new post as Team Vicar, Blyth Valley Team Ministry and Assistant Curate to be known as Associate Priest, Heveningham with Ubbeston, Huntingfield & Cookley.

The Revd John Christopher Hardy retires from his post as Rector, Newmarket St Mary with Exning St Agnes and Priest in Charge Exning with Landwade. To retire with effect from 30 September 2022.

The Revd Andrew John Doarks moves to his new post as Rector, Sudbury St Gregory with St Peter and Chilton and Priest in Charge, Sudbury All Saints with Ballingdon and Brundon.

The Revd Chris Hood, in addition to his current role as Vicar, Felixstowe St Peter & St Paul with St Andrew and St Nicholas, will be Assistant Rural Dean, Colney’s Deanery. This appointment took effect on 24 January 2022.

The Revd Canon Susan Bates, in addition to her current role as Rector, Debenham and Helmingham, will be Assistant Rural Dean, Loes Deanery. This appointment took effect on 24 January 2022.

The Revd Chris Davey, in addition to his current role as Priest in Charge, Framlingham with Saxtead, will be Rural Dean, Loes Deanery. This appointment took effect on 24 January 2022.

The Revd Margaret Rittman retires from her post as SSM Associate Priest, Martlesham with Brightwell. To retire with effect from 21 February 2022.

The Revd Leslie Siu resigns from his role as Rural Dean, at Loes Deanery, as of 20 January 2022 . He will be continuing his post as Vicar, at Wickham Market with Pettistree.

The Revd Manette Crossman, in addition to her current role as Priest in Charge, Higham, Holton St Mary, Raydon and Stratford St Mary, will be Assistant Rural Dean, Hadleigh Deanery as of 24 January 2022.

The Revd Canon Diane Ruth Williams retires from her post as Rector, Needham Market with Badley. To retire with effect from: 30 April 2022.

The Revd Andrew Williams moves from his post as Assistant Curate, Bury St Edmunds St Mary with St Peter District Church, to his new post as Assistant Curate to be known as Associate Vicar, Bury St Edmunds St Mary with St Peter District Church.

The Revd Paul Clarke, Rector, The Benefice of Walton and Trimley, will in addition to his current role be Rural Dean, at Colneys Deanery. This takes effect on 10 January 2022.

The Revd Nicholas Cutler has submitted resignation for his post as Rector, Rougham, Beyton with Hessett & Rushbrooke.To retire with effect from 31 January 2022.

The Revd Annette Shannon, in addition to her current role as Rector, The North Samford Benefice, became Rural Dean, Samford Deanery on 1 January 2022.

The Revd Patrick John Prigg has submitted resignation for his post as Rector, Glem Valley United Benefice. To retire with effect from 31 March 2022

The Revd Canon Graham Hedger has submitted resignation for his post as Priest in Charge at The Orebeck Benefice. To retire with effect from 30 April 2022.
