Southgate Church, Bury purchase a TV for their youth clubs

Purchasing a TV to be used in Southgate Church's Sunday Club has had a really positive effect on their weekly children and young people’s Sunday Clubs.

The teaching team are now able to use video clips, powerpoints, online streaming, music and more to help bring brighter and better education and entertainment,  which all of the children can now clearly see and hear. Southgate Church also purchased a moveable stand for the TV so it has added portability and has been used for other groups that the church holds, including Messy Church, Children’s Holiday Club, Youth Clubs, Toddler group, their puppet ministry and also for family community events.

The church have also been able to use the TV to host a Youth Alpha course. The course helped young people explore the Christian faith, gave them the chance to ask questions, study the bible together and to pray together as a group.

As a result of ongoing youth work, this year three young people have been confirmed and two have been baptised at the church. The TV will be continually used to enhance the work that the church does with children and young people in the community.
