Saturday Café, craft and companionship | The United Benefice of Westerfield & Tuddenham with Witnesham in Ipswich Deanery

The United Benefice of Westerfield & Tuddenham with Witnesham received a Growing in God Growth Fund total of £1000 to help cover their expenses for their Saturday Café, an outreach project aiming to connect with people who don’t normally come to church.

The fund has enabled them to continue offering refreshments, and expand the range of craft materials for children and adults. The craft materials used are sourced to be environmentally friendly, (no plastics and sourced from the UK). Some of the craft materials have a clear Christian message or theme - which is hoped will raise the visibility of Christianity and promote Christian beliefs. The drop in sessions often have more visitors.

The sessions saw families bond together and engage more with the church – and saw weekly retention from these sessions as well. The project will be continued next year and hopes to see more growth.
