Pilgrimage Trip to the Cathedral for non church-goers

The growth fund of £200 subsidised a Pilgrimage Trip to the Cathedral.

The trip was specially designed to develop personal discovery journeys for non-church goers, those on the edge of encountering God, and those who wish to reconnect with God.

The buildings' architecture was used to show a journey of life from Cradle to the Kingdom. From this, a unique service was put together which was accessible to all.

The service was a success -  and as a result, a new group has started up called Pilgrims. This is an alternative, non traditional way of worship and Church away from the usual Sunday Service. Pilgrims now has 16-18 attendees on a regular basis where people can explore their faith in ways they feel at ease with. New friendships have been established, and some of the attendees even come to other services where once they would not go to in the past.

The ages of the group ranges from late 40s up to 86. One of the group found her faith through the Pilgrimage.

It is hoped that Pilgrims continues to outreach and connect with new people and continue to strengthen the existing group's faith in God.
