Diocesan Synod members were delighted to welcome Bishop Joanne to her first Synod, held in the St Nicholas Church, Ipswich, on Saturday 18 October.
Bishop Joanne led with the Presidential Speech.

The key discussion, led by Archdeacon David. was "Building the Kingdom, Caring for Holy Places - Our buildings, the environment and the Net Zero Carbon Route Map" and this was followed by the final reviews of the SDF projects: Growing in God in the Countryside and Inspiring Ipswich. Synod also included a report from Safeguarding and approval of the budget.
