Appointments and Retirements

The Bishops' Office has recently announced the following appointments and retirements. In addition, the Diocesan Secretary has announced staffing changes at the Diocesan Board of Finance; these are included below.

The Reverend Malcolm (Max) Eric OSBORNE currently Vicar of the Parish of Newmarket All Saints and Assistant Director of Ordinands and New Ministries is to be Vicar of the Parish of Rushmere St Andrew and to continue as Assistant Director of Ordinands and New Ministries. He will be licensed on 30 August at Rushmere St Andrew parish church.

The Reverend Dr Simon George HILL currently Vicar of Copthorne in the Diocese of Chicester is to be Rector of the Suffolk Heights Benefice. He will be installed on 26 July 2017 at 7.30pm at Chevington Parish Church.

The Reverend Robin James BARNES currently SSM Assistant Curate (known as Assistant Priest) in the Benefice of Debenham and Helmingham in to retire on 30 April 2017.

The Reverend Susan Rita BATES currently Assistant Curate at the Yoxmere Benefice is to be Rector of the Benefice of Debenham and Helmingham. She will be licensed on 6 July 2017 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Debenham.

Capt Christopher Paul TYLER currently Community Minister in the North Bury Team Ministry and Community Minister in the Lark Valley Benefice is to be Community Minister in the Benefice of Lavenham with Preston. He will be licensed on 10 May 2017 at 7.30pm at Lavenham Parish Church.

The Reverend Canon Paul Richard DALTRY currently Minister for Community Engagement in the Deanery of Ipswich is to be Priest in Charge in the Benefice of North Blackwater in the Diocese of Chelmsford. He is to finish on 28 April 2017.

The Reverend John Leslie ASTON currently Vicar of Felixstowe St Peter and St Paul with St Andrew and St Nicholas is to retire on 31 May 2017.

The Revd Jeanette Margaret GOSNEY currently Parish Development Officer and Dean of Women’s Ministry in the Diocese of St Albans in to be Bishops’ Ministry Officer.

The Reverend Jeremy Douglas Adam PARSONS currently Team Vicar in the Saffron Walden and Villages Team Ministry, Diocese of Chelmsford is to be Rector of the St Edmunds Way Benefice. He will be licensed on 16 May 2017 at 7.30pm at All Saints Lawshall.
