The Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich wishes to appoint a Bishops' Ministry Officer to assist the Diocesan Bishop and the Bishop of Dunwich in their ministry of care and nurture for the clergy and authorised ministers of the diocese by facilitating a holistic approach to ministerial development and well-being.
The successful candidate will be warm, wise and fun, have a lively and robust faith and theological intellect and work
well with clergy and lay ministers. They will be well organised and able to work strategically.
They will be ordained in the Church of England or a Church in full communion with it, have served an incumbency or
equivalent position of responsibility such as in a diocese or theological education institution.
The post is full-time and remuneration is equivalent to an incumbent’s stipend plus a housing allowance. This post has attached to it a genuine occupational requirement under the 2010 Equality Act, Part 1, Schedule 9.
