Competition winner receives contactless donation device

Churchwarden stood by contactless giving deviceWhen the Parish Resources Team had a spare CollecTin More device Julie Podd, Parish Resources Manager decided to invite parishes to enter a Christmas competition to win it.  As this was an older device churches needed to have Wi-Fi in their church to run it.  Twelve churches went into the draw and Brantham St Michael’s were the lucky winners.

Trudie Harkin, Giving Advisor then worked with the team at Brantham to get them registered with Give A Little (software) and Sum Up (payment provider), before visiting the church to help set up a campaign and get it installed.

Julie Podd said, “It was great to be able to help St Michael’s get contactless giving up and running in their church.  This, together with the Parish Giving Scheme, gives Brantham in-person and online giving to attract donations from their congregation, visitors and the wider community”.

St Michael’s are very happy too!  “We are so grateful to receive our new CollecTin device from the diocese. As one of the church wardens I am often popping up to the Church and there is always someone here enjoying the calm space. We have a surprising number of visitors who leave a comment in our visitor’s book, so we are confident this is really going to help our giving at St Michael’s.”  -Leonard, Churchwarden.
