In Ipswich there are 16 benefices and since 2019 a number of resources and tools have been available to help these churches to grow in depth, in number, to grow younger and to grow in influence in the community. Here are some of the key supports which have made a difference:
- Working with a Mission Accompanier to produce a parish plan
- Leading your Church into Growth
- Being given extra resource to find additional staff
- Being able to send people on the deanery ‘Growing Leaders’ course
- Attending the six-monthly deanery conferences
- Taking part in the Suffolk Ministry Development Programme (for Incumbents)
- Being supported to apply for grants
- Having six monthly measuring mission conversations with the Inspiring Ipswich Project Manager
