Team Rector, Blyth Valley & Priest in Charge, Benefice of Heveningham et al

This post is for Team Rector for the team ministry of Blyth Valley and Priest in Charge for the benefice of Heveningham with Ubbeston, Huntingfield and Cookley

A fantastic opportunity to further develop our two benefices centred on the ancient and thriving market town of Halesworth in beautiful rural NE Suffolk. Lay and ordained ministries are
flourishing, and our churches engage creatively with ourcommunities. We stand in the gently liberal catholic tradition, are inclusive and welcoming of all, hopeful and excited about the future God is leading us into.

Are you:

  • Enthusiastic, approachable and encouraging, able to inspire and nurture faith?
  • Willing to exercise a local episcope leadership role, fostering vocations and releasing people into ministry?
  • Mission-minded with a love of rural ministry?
  • Motivated to develop our plans for our main church building for the wider benefit of all?
  • Steeped in prayer, scripture and spirituality?
  • Young in outlook, mature in approach?

If so, come and work with us to realise our vision of truly becoming “Church in Community and Community in Church”.

This is a full-time Team Rector post; a full-time Team Vicar post is currently vacant, offering the possibility for a clergy couple to be considered. For an informal conversation please contact:
