Stewardship is how we as Christians respond to the love of God with our whole life. We are called to act responsibly with our time, talents and money. At its heart stewardship is about generous living and is firmly rooted in our discipleship and so forms part of ‘Growing Deeper’ in our diocesan vision for growth. A significant aspect of stewardship is about how we use all our money and possessions that God has entrusted us with.
Giving is the major source of local church income. Many decades ago, local churches enjoyed subsidy from a nationwide pot. Not any more! Local churches today are paid for by the generous giving of local people.
Planned Giving is a great help to the local church, enabling it to budget effectively. The most efficient way of supporting Planned Giving is via the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS).
