Fresh Expressions Rural Conference - What do you see?

The Hayes Conference Centre, Hayes Lane, Swanwick DE55 1AU

The rural church in the UK is at a critical moment. “What do you see?” is a gathering for church planters, mission pioneers and leaders of fresh expressions of Church, together with mission strategists.  It will be facilitated by the national Fresh Expressions rural hub and George Lings (previously Director of the Church Army Research Centre).

An opportunity for raising our eyes to see how God is blessing rural areas with vibrancy, life and hope and to receive both strength and challenge. Come for story telling, prayer, learning, prophetic discernment and friends together in mission.

Both Bishop Mike and the Revd Canon Sally Gaze will be delivering content during the conference.  For further information and booking details please visit Eventbrite.

A Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Holy Land

Friday 15th February 2019, 10:00

A wonderful pilgrimage to the Holy Land: you are warmly invited to join the Revd Stephen Earl, Rector of Lavenham and Preston St Mary, in visiting the beautiful places we read about in the Bible.

A land of contrasts – from fertile Galilee and the ‘calm of hills above’, to the ‘steep and rugged pathway’ to Jerusalem; from the bread basket of the central plains to the barrenness of the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea.  Following in the steps of Jesus, this will be truly memorable ‘pilgrimage of a lifetime’ visiting Biblical and other sites of antiquity, meeting those who inhabit this stunning land of varied beauty – ‘the land of milk and honey’...  an experience you will never forget!

The group so far comprises pilgrims from many different places, from Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and beyond.  Participants are those from all stages of faith and virtually none, church-goers and non-church-goers – all are welcome and no one should feel awkward because of what they believe or do not believe, know or do not know!

Friday 15 February – Sunday 24 February

To book, please contact Stephen Earl on earls2222@btinternet.com, more information and a brochure can be found at www.lavenhamchurch.onesuffolk.org.
